Outreach and anti-spam policy (draft)
Rules for sending email and other outreach through Octahive.
DRAFT template. Not final and not legal advice. Pending review by a qualified lawyer. Items in [square brackets] are placeholders that must be completed.
You are the sender
When you send outreach through Octahive, you are the sender and responsible for following the laws that apply to you and to the people you contact. These can include anti-spam, privacy and marketing laws that differ by country. Octahive provides tools and safeguards; it does not make a campaign lawful.
What the product does
Each outreach email includes an unsubscribe link, and people who opt out are added to a suppression list so they are not contacted again by your workspace.
Agents can find prospects and draft messages, but a person launches campaigns and sends.
What you must do
Contact only people you have a lawful basis to contact. Do not buy or scrape lists in ways that break the law or a site’s terms.
Identify yourself accurately, with a real sender name and a valid way to reach you. [Add postal address requirement where applicable.]
Honour opt-outs and complaints promptly, including those received outside Octahive.
Do not send misleading subject lines, fake replies or content that breaks our acceptable use policy.
Enforcement
We may pause sending or suspend a workspace with high complaint, bounce or opt-out rates, or that breaks this policy. [Define thresholds and process with counsel.]
