Getting started

Your first day in Octahive

Six steps, in the order they pay off. None of them needs a setup call.

Set up the workspace

Each step is done in the app, and the checklist there keeps track.

Open the app
  1. Create a workspace

Name the agency and pick its base currency. A checklist in the app tracks the rest of these steps.

In the code: A workspace is created with its base currency, people join by invitation, and a checklist tracks the first steps.

  2. Add clients and rate cards

Enter the clients you work with and the rates you charge. Every quote is priced from these, by code.

In the code: Clients and rate cards are kept in the workspace and price every quote. An agent drafts a quote; rate cards and code set the price; a person approves.

  3. Invite your people

Send an invitation to each colleague. They join with their own login and a role in the workspace.

In the code: A workspace is created with its base currency, people join by invitation, and a checklist tracks the first steps.

  4. Hire an agent

Give it a role, a monthly credit allowance and a person who answers for it, then brief it in the workroom.

In the code: An agent is hired like a worker, with a role title, a monthly credit cap and a reviewer who answers for it. A person briefs an agent in the workroom; the agent drafts a plan, a run starts only once a person approves that plan, and the person can follow the run and stop the job.

  5. Send a quote

Describe the work, let the agent propose the scope, check the price your rate card produced, and approve it. The client accepts from their portal.

In the code: An agent drafts a quote; rate cards and code set the price; a person approves. Clients see quotes, invoices and project progress in a portal.

  6. Connect Stripe

Link a Stripe account so clients can pay an invoice from a hosted payment page.

In the code: Clients can pay an invoice online through a hosted payment page (needs a connected Stripe account).
